Fig - Chicago Hardy

CHICAGO HARDY

A hardy variety suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 5-10. It has an attractive appearance with large, lobed leaves and a bushy growth habit. The tree can reach a mature height of up to 15 feet and a width of up to 10 feet with a vigorous growth rate. It prefers full sun, aiming for 6-8 hours a day whenever possible. In warmer climates, it will tolerate partial shade as long as it gets plenty of light.

Figs are juicy, sweet, and extremely flavorful, often described as jammy with hints of honey. These figs are packed with antioxidants, which help reduce inflammation and fight disease. They also contain fiber, magnesium, copper, and potassium, which help lower blood pressure.
